Shot Notes

This is an old picture from the last time I was in Berlin. The Holocaust Memorial made a huge impression on me back then.. and today when I saw the picture again I got the same feeling. Very powerfull…

The Holocaust Memorial is sooo breathtaking! But also a very photographed object. I like your version. But I think my favorite version of it so far is this from the danish photography artist Thomas J. Wiltrup:

Ohh yeah there are many pictures and my picture is absolute not the best. Today I didn’t really wanted to show a nice well composed picture with blah blah ..!
I wanted to tell a story, or rather.. I wanted to show a picture that tells a story.
I like Wiltrup’s version because it does not look like all the others.

Sorry Lasse, I didn’t mean to put your picture in miscredit. It’s a very nice picture, actually there are several very nice thing about your photo.
I like that the picture only contains the Holocaust Memorial and not the surroundings. It actually makes this composition quite strong, and it creates some very interesting cut off lines towards the vanishing points 🙂

haha .. no worries! Honestly I don’t think the picture is particularly good, but it gives me a special feeling.
As I said earlier, it’s an old picture but I remember that I tried to make it full of contras and with almost only black and white colors (and it’s a black/white picture.. 😉 )
